Lolita the fairy

So bussy this weeks with finals and several projects running, but I found the time to do a new post.

This collection of children's books was designed in 2009 in hardcover, you can see the lines of registration above and down.

The author is Didier Lévy and the illustration was made by Benjamin Chaud. Benjamin is quite active online, you can google him I like his drawing style (so collage). I leave you a website:

Lolita is a ladybug, and in original version the title was "Little Lolita", also for the Spanish version was changed by " Lolita, the fairy".

As a good children's book we use some curios resources in the production, like bright color or glowing inks, inside the books, glitter and different textures. It was produced in China (they have the best technology for complex projects, and the communication isn't easy at all...) This is a common finished touch in that books because kid doesn't only read the book, they waste time exploring the book in so many ways.

Confectionery Books

Today I´m gonna introduce a series of cover who I design for a collection of bakery and that kind of cooking books: The books were lunched in 2010 and they run very well in the marked. I must to say that I had a perfect photos, in this way, the cooking books are to easy to do because a well done photo contribute to create a polished image.

The covers was produced in first edition, but in rustic cover with flaps. In the back flap do you have a recurrent resource, the cross over books of the same topic.

In extra we varnish the photos to create a 3d effect to stand out the quality of photos.

The translation it's something like Product + Limitless or by dozen. I have the books in home and from time to time think in try to cook something, but I´m afraid I'm gonna let down myself...
